Operating regulations of the Paseky Bikepark

1. Entering the track and starting after stopping

Before entering the downhill, the cyclist is required to thoroughly familiarize themselves with their chosen course and obstacles visually in order to assess their ability to handle the course on a bicycle. A cyclist who has entered a cycle track, has stopped and wishes to continue cycling after stopping, is obliged to make sure that he/she does not endanger himself/herself or another cyclist.

2. Choice of direction of travel in Bikepark Paseky

The bicycle descent to the valley area of the cable car is one-way – start-finish, the cyclist must follow the direction of travel determined by the direction of the selected track.

3. Safety of cycling equipment

The cyclist may use the cycling equipment only in a condition in which the manufacturer ensures safety when using the product. It is essential to use a helmet, gloves, elbow, knee, spine and chest protectors.

4. Speed control and driving mode

As a participant in a downhill in a bike park, the cyclist must have an overview in front of him. The speed must be adapted to your abilities and possibilities, the condition of the track surface, individual obstacles and possible dangerous sections – especially crossings with hiking trails and roads for motor vehicles.

5. Consideration for other persons in the Bikepark

Everyone on the cycle track is obliged to behave in such a way as not to endanger health and life or cause harm to themselves or others. A cyclist riding behind another cyclist must not endanger the cyclist in front of him or her, and must keep a sufficient distance to allow the cyclist in front of him or her a clear space to ride. The gap between cyclists during the descent must be at least 50 m.

6. Overtaking

There is a ban on overtaking on the cycle track and the cyclist is obliged to follow the direction of travel.

7. Compliance with labelling

Cyclists must mainly ride on well-trodden tracks and roads and avoid sections that are not designed for cycling.

8. Provision of assistance

In the event of an accident on the premises, the cyclist is obliged to render assistance and report the accident to the authorised person. The authorised person is the cableway operator. The reporting point is the valley station of the cableway Paseky.

9. Notice

A visitor who is transported by cable car to the top station and rides his/her bicycle down to the valley area of the cable car rides in the area at his/her own risk. It is forbidden for persons under the age of 18 to cycle down to the valley area. Persons under the age of 18 may enter the convention area only with the written consent of a parent or legal guardian. Persons under 15 years of age may enter the convention area only when accompanied by a parent. Driving on the slopes is forbidden outside opening hours. The user of the trails is obliged to get acquainted with the Visitor Regulations as well as the provisions of the Nature and Landscape Protection Act.

10. It is forbidden in the Bikepark Paseky

  • Prohibition of any activity except cycling.
  • No dismantling, modifying, damaging track markings, obstacles and information boards.
  • No children allowed without the supervision of a responsible person.
  • No cycling under the influence of alcoholic beverages or intoxicants and no use of glass containers.
  • No smoking.
  • No open flames.
  • No pushing the bicycle against the direction of travel.
  • No pedestrians allowed.
  • Prohibition of bicycle movement outside the places designated for such movement in the Decree on the Visitor Regulations of the Malá Fatra National Park.

By purchasing a ticket and entering the bicycle park, the visitor agrees to abide by the Rules of Conduct in the bicycle park and acknowledges that he/she rides at his/her own responsibility and risk. The operator assumes no liability for damage to the property and health of park visitors.
