The cyclemagistrála Vodné dílo Žilina – Terchová is a simple and safe route suitable for families with children. It starts at the Žilina Waterworks, which is a popular place for relaxation and sports activities and provides facilities not only for cyclists. The route from the Žilina Waterworks through the village of Varín to Terchová follows the Varínka River. It is bridged by a unique system of 17 wooden bridges. The exits to these bridges will be the only steeper climbs you will encounter on this cycle route. The reward for the kilometres is a view of the panorama of Mala Fatra. The cycling route is followed by a network of mountain bike routes in the vicinity of Mala Fatra, Žilina and Kysuce.
