Vrátna Malá Fatra is a tourist resort where, in addition to traditional winter activities, you can also enjoy the summer. Since Vrátna is located in the heart of the Malá Fatra National Park, the biggest dominant feature is the beautiful nature, but also the village of Terchová, 3 km away, famous mainly thanks to the national hero Juraj Jánošík.

The resort is a popular tourist destination thanks to its exceptional location in the Mala Fatra Mountains. Vratna consists of three basic sites – Paseky, Poludňový Grúň and Chleb. Of course, there are other places and hiking trails in the Vrátna valley where you can go in summer. However, these three locations together form our year-round resort Vrátna Mala Fatra. If you are looking for a place for active relaxation in beautiful surroundings, come and enjoy nature with us in Vrátná.

If you are looking for good accommodation, you can stay in the mountain hotel BOBOTY, nestled in the lap of beautiful nature and with advantageous stay packages for families with children. In addition, all guests staying at the Boboty Hotel have the opportunity to take advantage of a 50% discount on our cable cars – both the Chleb cable car and the Paseky chairlift. More information about the hotel and accommodation options can be found at:

PASEKY is a popular place not only in winter, but also in summer. It can be a great start for hiking or a small stop during the day in Vrátna. Paseky is also a great starting point for hiking. Either on your own or use the chairlift, which will also take you to new photo points such as the giant bench or the observation swings. In the summer months you can try various activities such as mountain tricycles, tubing, bungee trampoline, inflatable hill or BIKEPARK with two tracks and a skill zone. When you get hungry, head to the HUMNO restaurant with its new summer menu and good coffee.

Several hiking trails await you at Poludný Grúň, from which you can choose the one that is right for you. If you want to stop at Poludňový Grúň, stop at the Chata na Grúni, where you can relax and enjoy a snack with a view of the peaks of Mala Fatra. From Poludňový Grúň you can walk along the hiking trail to the parking lot to the lower station of the Chleb cable car or use our 4-seater cable car Paseky.

Truly majestic views are offered by the CHLEB locality . An 8-seater cable car will take you to the Snilovský saddle (1 492 m) and it is up to you which of the many routes you choose. However, if you are exclusively a hiker, there is a hiking trail below the cable car that will also take you to the top. Right next to the top station of the Chleb cable car is the PANORAMA restaurant with a sun terrace.

Mala Fatra National Park

The Malá Fatra National Park is one of the most beautiful national parks in Slovakia. It was founded in 1988. It is located in the northwestern part of the Western Carpathians. The territory of the National Park itself occupies the Krivánská part of the Mala Fatra Mountains. It is the last westernmost national park of the Carpathian Mountains with a permanent presence of large carnivores (bear, wolf, lynx) and original and relatively well-preserved ecosystems.

The Malá Fatra National Park is characterised by an extraordinary diversity of geological and climatic conditions. This, together with the vertical ruggedness, has contributed to a great diversity of plant and animal communities.
In the logo of the National Park there is the mountain Veľký Rozsutec.
