Description of the route: from the parking lot of the Chalet Vrátna (bus stop Vrátna-lift) at the end of the Vrátna valley you will go to the cable car Chleb.
The exit takes about 10 minutes. The cable car ride itself is an experience. From the Snilov saddle (1524 m. n. m.), where you can refresh yourself and start the hike with a good coffee in the Panorama restaurant with a sun terrace, first go to the highest peak of Mala Fatra – Veľký Kriváň (1709 m) n. m.). A steady climb up the red marker takes 40 minutes with an elevation gain of 200 metres. Enjoy – you have climbed the highest peak of Mala Fatra. From there we recommend going back through the Snilovské saddle to Chleb (1647 m) n. m.). You could do that in an hour. If you don’t want to return to the saddle by the red marker again, we suggest to continue from Chleb along the red marker to the saddle behind Hromovy (1605 m). n. m.). Here turn right on the yellow sign and head towards Kopiská (1450 m n. m.). The path leads through bare terrain along the side of the main ridge. The last ten-minute stretch to Chata pod Chlebom (1415 m n. m.) follow the blue sign. Return to Snilovský sedlo by following the green trail, where you can refresh yourself on the panoramic terrace of the Panorama restaurant with excellent coffee, a renewed menu and breathtaking views of the ridge. This tour will take you up to 30 minutes.
From Veľký Kriváň, take the green trail back, you can have a good lunch in the Panorama restaurant or, if the children are in the mood, you can make the hike even more varied with a walking tour to the Chata pod Chlebom (Chalet under the Bread).
